Kildare Job Type: Full-Time Job Description Quantum is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Financial Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for driving data-informed decision-making and optimising our financial performance. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Data Analysis & Modelling:
- Conduct complex data analysis to support financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of various business scenarios and projects.
- Use big data analytics to extract actionable insights from extensive datasets.
- Financial Reporting & Insights:
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to senior management.
- Analyse financial performance to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions and strategy.
- IT & Data Management:
- Work with IT to ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems and databases.
- Implement and enhance data mining techniques to uncover valuable business insights.
- Manage and improve financial databases and reporting tools to enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Strategic Support:
- Support strategic initiatives by analysing market trends, the competitive landscape, and financial performance.
- Assist in developing business cases for new projects, investments, and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and financial performance.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Clearly communicate complex financial data and insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to team members on financial systems and data interpretation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
- Ad Hoc Requests:
- Address various ad hoc requests and requirements as needed by other departments within the business.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) would be advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a financial analyst or business analyst, preferably within the construction or a related industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in big data analytics tools, advanced Excel, financial modelling, data mining, and IT systems integration. Experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages is highly desirable.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong background in advanced mathematics and statistical analysis.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
