A Fender is more than an instrument; it’s a cultural symbol that resonates globally. We are searching for a Financial Accountant to join our Cavan team! This role will support the day-to-day running of the accounting function within the EMEA region. Main Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures and identify/establish internal controls and ensure their operating effectiveness.
  2. Manage and support month-end close adhering to Corporate specified deadlines, ensuring timely and complete reconciliations.
  3. Prepare, or work with third-party advisors on, timely submissions of EU VAT & Intrastat returns, EU Sales Lists for The Netherlands and EU regions.
  4. Reconcile Fender Sales BV inventory balances and carry out regular stock counts.
  5. Support the preparation of intercompany transactions & balance reconciliations and agree with related parties with support of documentary evidence, where applicable.
  6. Support and prepare information ensuring timely submissions of annual Dutch & EU Branch statutory accounts.
  7. Support and prepare information ensuring timely submission of corporate income tax submissions and payments for the Dutch entity and its EU Branches, where applicable.
  8. Support multi-currency bank reconciliations.
  9. Support Fender BV’s logistics department with submission of environmental tax returns.
  10. Provide further ad hoc support to wider Finance Managers and Financial Controller where required.
  11. Identify approved process improvements and implement them once approved.
  12. Provide holiday cover for finance manager.
  13. Support EMEA accounts payable team.
Essential Skills/Knowledge
  1. Part qualified/qualified accountant, AAT, ACA or ACCA equivalent.
  2. Ideally candidates will have 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  3. Practical experience of statutory and fiscal reporting for medium sized companies.
  4. Hands-on experience of processing journal entries with accompanying support and reconciliations.
  5. Practical experience of preparing EU VAT returns.
  6. Strong Excel skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Attention to detail.
  9. Deadline driven with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  10. Proactive.
  11. Multi-tasking, flexible and adaptable.
  12. Ability to work at pace.
Desirable Skills/Knowledge
  1. SAP Knowledge.
  2. Prior experience of intercompany accounting.
  3. Exposure to FX and multi-currency accounting.
  4. Knowledge/Experience of EU VAT, Intrastat & EU Sales Listing.
  5. Knowledge of US/IFRS GAAP.
  6. Additional European language skills.
