ASM is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Legal Counsel based in Singapore office, reporting to the Senior Director Global Legal Counsel, to independently review and negotiate high-value and high-volume agreements and draft standard terms & conditions to help support global business units in varied operational tasks and negotiations. You will be part of the global legal function of ASM. This role is an Individual Contributor role. Responsibilities include: Provide proactive and preventive legal advice and recommendations, incorporating both legal strategy and knowledge of ASM’s business. Liaise with internal global stakeholders in reviewing agreements and terms & conditions for: Global contract agreements such as in the HR/IT fields. Collaborating with the business in strategizing to deal with various contracts. Lead strategic projects/workstreams being assigned to partner with business stakeholders. Partner with senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide business-oriented actionable solutions. Develop and harmonize scalable processes for contract handling. Improve internal tools and policies to streamline and maximize efficiency, as well as supporting growth and effectively coordinating with the team. Create playbooks and other material to provide customized legal training. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Good stakeholder management skills and ability to triage matters and set expectations with internal stakeholders on timelines. Solid experience providing successful commercial and transactional support, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Ability to collaborate and build strong and effective internal and external relationships which are key in achieving goals. Self-starter with the ability to drive independently and results-oriented, exhibiting adaptability and agility. A strong, impactful and strategic partner to business leaders, recognized for providing pragmatic advice and thought leadership. Key Qualifications: Minimum a Bachelor of Law Degree from a reputed university. Minimum 8 years of experience as in-house legal counsel (manufacturing and/or semiconductor sector is preferred).
