Job Description

As an Event Director, you will lead the launch of a regional supercar event in Bahrain under a globally recognized brand. This role requires planning, selling, and delivering the event in collaboration with sales, marketing, content, operations, and finance teams. The Event Director must develop innovative ideas for event features and content to enhance visitor/exhibitor experience while achieving event targets. A strong sales track record, Arabic language fluency, and cultural understanding are desired capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and maintenance of a strategic plan in collaboration with the brand and senior management team.
2. Oversee and monitor the strategic plan to ensure its execution within budget.
3. Agree the annual exhibition budget with the brand and senior management team and cascade this to team members.
4. Control and manage exhibition costs within budget through monthly reviews.
5. Liaise with the finance team to track event budget.
6. Lead by example by bringing in sales and sponsorship deals for key accounts and relationships.
7. Lead and manage the sales team through monitoring sales activities and performance.
8. Collaborate with the Marketing Department to achieve event objectives.
9. Contribute to the marketing strategy and have regular reviews with marketing leads.
10. Collaborate with the Operations Department to achieve event objectives.
11. Provide direction on floor plans to ensure client requirements are maintained.
12. Create an environment which encourages teamwork and collaboration.
13. Assist in the hiring and retention of talent where applicable.
14. Effectively manage team members through regular feedback and coaching sessions.

Additional responsibilities include championing sustainability, evaluating event effectiveness, and recommending strategies for improvement. A Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field is required, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
