E&I Technician

Perform day to day safe pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and operation, E&I maintenance activities to achieve plant commissioning and operational stability, improvement of equipment and plant conditions, accomplishment of commissioning and production targets, HSE compliance and production efficiency.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

1. Perform safe and productive pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation and maintenance activities.
2. Conduct precommissioning, commissioning, PMs, daily checks, testing such as loop testing, megger testing, PLC analysis, control panel and systems troubleshooting, panel programming.
3. Clear understanding of Systems Completions, Punch List Management System.
4. Provide feedback to supervisor to improve project performance & assist with completing PM reports & other documentation.
5. Keep track of electrical equipment and instrumentation commissioning progress, performance, daily logs books, follow maintenance schedules and plans.
6. Repair and troubleshoot, alternators, transmitters, flow meters, breakers, switch gear, switches, valves, control panels and motor systems.
7. Respond to customer call outs and emergency requirements and develop customer relationships to further field service work.
8. Support site leadership with spare parts management that includes inventory levels and counts, Min-Max, parts movement tracking.
9. Assist with equipment and plant operations and troubleshooting.
10. Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager.

Qualifications

1. Minimum Electrical Diploma or engineering certificate and HV certification.
2. Minimum 7+ years experience in similar work environment. Precommissioning and Commissioning Experience is a must.
3. Commissioning and O&M of Waukesha, Caterpillar, Frick and Ariel compressors, be ready and willing to learn on new equipment.
4. Hands on experience on PCS, ESD, F&G systems, Burner management system, turbotronic systems.
5. Intermediate knowledge of PC tools, including Microsoft office MS Word and MS Excel.
6. Able to read/understand P&ID and Wiring schematics including single line diagrams.
7. Able to work under pressure and with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
8. Motivated, organized, strong problem-solving skills, positive and respectful.

Physical Requirements

Remote site working conditions, hot & humid climate, long working hours, on call after hours. Travel from country to country on short notice.
