JOB PURPOSE To support in collecting, monitoring and studying data related to the requirements of the local content and ensure that government, semi-government, and other related procuring entities are compliant with LCGPA standards in relation to Local Content Requirements. DESCRIPTION Local Content Monitoring

  1. Assist in ensuring that suppliers and public procuring entities adhere to Local Content requirements.
  2. Assist in collecting data about the volume of suppliers that meet the Local Content requirements and public procuring entities that apply the Local Content requirements.
  3. Assist in collecting data related to compliance with local content mechanisms and the status of complaints received.
  4. Assist in reviewing draft RFPs and other tender documents in coordination with the Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority to ensure adherence to Local Content requirements.
  5. Assist in developing compliance and status reports covering all required information at frequent intervals.
  6. Assist in exploring violations related to the implementation of local content requirements.
  7. Assist in initiating blacklisting requests for non-compliant suppliers as per the Local Content regulations.
  8. Assist in interpreting collected data to develop actionable steps that will improve processes and optimize results.
  9. Assist in spreading awareness of the importance of applying Local Content requirements to suppliers and public procuring entities.
  10. Assist in coordinating continuously with internal departments to ensure a proper understanding of Local Content requirements.
  11. Assist in developing quarterly and annual reports.
  12. Assist in building local content teams within government entities.
  13. Assist in updating documents and logs related to local content monitoring.
  14. Assist in managing relationships with local content teams within government entities.
Local Content Mechanisms Implementation Support
  1. Assist government entities in including Local Content requirements within their RFPs and contracts.
  2. Assist government entities in reviewing proposals submitted by bidders.
  3. Coordinate continuously with government entities to ensure compliance with local content requirements during the execution phase.
Complaints Receiving and Handling
  1. Assist in receiving, handling, and resolving complaints related to noncompliance with Local Content regulations.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards, and Reports
  1. Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  2. Support in the preparation of timely and accurate reports and functional deliverables to meet the functional requirements for achieving desired efficiency and performance excellence.
