QA/QC engineer
Job details
Job Title : QA/QC Engineer Key Responsibilities :
- Policy Development : Draft, review, and update QA/QC policies and procedures, ensuring they meet industry standards and organizational needs.
- Inspection Oversight : Supervise and monitor QA/QC Inspectors, Engineers, and NDT Technicians to ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
- Failure Analysis : Coordinate metallurgical failure analyses of plant and offshore components and provide actionable recommendations.
- Procurement QA/QC : Manage quality assurance during material and equipment procurement, including bid evaluations, third-party inspections, and warehouse inspections.
- Welding Expertise : Develop and approve welding procedures and ensure compliance during project execution.
- Shutdowns and Modifications : Provide QA/QC input for maintenance contracts and ensure compliance during repairs, modifications, and shutdowns.
- Audits and Reporting : Conduct technical audits on contractors and suppliers, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
- Equipment Certification : Oversee the timely inspection and certification of gas cylinders, portable tanks, and lifting equipment.
- Internal : Collaborate daily with maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams.
- External : Interface with contractors, third-party inspection services, and testing laboratories to ensure seamless quality operations.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Certifications : Professional qualifications in welding, NDT, and inspection.
- Experience : At least 4 years in QA/QC roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Skills :
- In-depth knowledge of pressure vessels, piping fabrication, welding, and NDT.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English and computer applications.
