Role overview We are looking to hire a highly skilled chef to join our special projects team. In this role, you will serve our VIP clients while collaborating with a team of world-class individuals within Calo. A top-notch candidate in this position must be creative, flexible, and have a proven track record of working well in a dynamic environment. Main Responsibilities

  1. Preparing customized meals for clients based on their preferences, specifications, and dietary needs
  2. Inspecting meal ingredients before making purchases to ensure that they are of the highest quality
  3. Reading and executing various recipes in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards
  4. Preparing meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations
  5. Cleaning and sanitizing work areas before and after meal preparation
  6. Creating each product with full insight of shelf life, allergens, ingredients cost, and process
  7. Ensuring that the stations are kept in a clean and orderly fashion
  8. Ensuring that all equipment within the R&D space is correctly handled and maintained
  9. Establishing and maintaining effective employee relations
  10. Complying with Calo Health, Safety & Hygiene policy
  11. Performing related duties and special projects as assigned
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  1. Cares very deeply about the quality of meals they create
  2. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in culinary arts is preferred
  3. Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
  4. Certified in HACCP and ISO 22000
  5. A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience
  6. Experience in fine dining and managing VIP clients
  7. Must be able to initiate, plan, and implement new product development projects
  8. Following recipes and formulations to create and evaluate product samples
  9. Experience with multiple cuisines or fusion cuisines is a major plus
  10. Able to communicate well in English
  11. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)

  1. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
  2. Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization
  3. Must be able to work under pressure and manage time accordingly
  4. Ensure quality control and efficient workflow
  5. Familiarity with the industry’s best practices
  6. Strong time-management skills, able to finish tasks in a timely manner, and stick to deadlines
