Country Legal & Compliance Director

*Please submit the English version of your CV We are looking for someone who: Has a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited law school; Has an active bar (or similar) membership in good standing; Has 7-9 years of legal experience, with a minimum of 2 years in an in-house counsel role preferred; Demonstrates expertise in handling complex corporate, commercial, and regulatory legal matters. Experience in consumer protection, data privacy, anti-money laundering (AML), gambling, and administrative law will be considered an advantage; Has a proven track record of providing strategic thought partnership and leadership in developing innovative legal and risk management strategies; Has the ability to deliver tailored legal advice suitable for both junior and senior levels within the organization; Has experience in team management and leadership. What you'll be doing: Give accurate and timely counsel to executives and other members of staff in a variety of legal topics (corporate law and corporate finance, AML, labor law, partnerships, international ventures, etc.); Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations with respect to Brazilian entities of the Group; Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues with respect to Brazilian entities of the Group; Effectively communicate and negotiate with external parties, including regulators, external counsel, and public authorities, to build and maintain trust. Represent and assist the organization in public proceedings when necessary; Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s fulllegal rights with respect to Brazilian entities and related parties; Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces; Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization; Conduct work with integrity and responsibility; Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation; Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business; promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practices throughout the organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
