Supports the provision of quality use of medicines by ensuring that pharmacy service provision is in accordance with legislative requirements and professional practice standards. Promotes and adheres to medication safety principles including those documented in ACSQH National Standard 4 - Medication Safety and National Standard 3 - Antimicrobial Stewardship. Demonstrated high level of competence and expertise in clinical pharmacy. Demonstrated experience in team leadership and the management of pharmacists and support staff. Demonstrated proficiency in computing and use of i Pharmacy and e MR applications with understanding of clinical information management systems and processes within a hospital setting. Demonstrated experience of Quality Assurance (QA) activities and Formulary management, particularly in relation to medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with patients and other staff within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to and demonstrated expertise in education and training and the ability to impart knowledge and skills to pharmacy staff, students and other hospital staff.
