Avant Money are seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst to join our Finance team, focusing on procurement and financial planning and analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the procurement process through input in vendor evaluation and selection, system update and maintenance, analysing cost structures within vendor offering, and measuring the overall value gained from the procurement activities.
- Ensuring all vendors are uploaded onto the procurement software and all services requested move through the various stages of the procurement process smoothly and efficiently.
- Liaise both internally with service managers and externally with vendors to accelerate the process.
- Problem resolution-based approach, focused on issues that may arise withing the service request journey.
- Cost analysis by vendor to schedule all costs arising from a service request and or contract.
- Provide real-time data on upcoming costs, trends in vendor pricing which will feed into the FP&A process of cost forecasting and cost planning at a vendor level and mitigate against risks to plan by identifying potential cost over-runs at the earliest possible stage.
- Develop common shared KPI’s for Procurement and FP&A on cost control, cost optimisation and efficiency measurement against plan.
- Develop the structure between the financial plan by vendor the service request by vendor processed through the procurement platform to monitor and control the actual request for spend against the planned spend at a vendor level.
- Create measures on cost savings between vendor selection to help in decision making.
- Evaluate all costs and based on the data outcomes help contribute to better decisions, to improving efficiency, and to reduce costs within each activity involved in the operational process.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of the annual plan, strategic plan, and financial forecasts in terms of all vendor related costs.
- Challenge stakeholders’ submissions particularly around cost and vendor spend forecasts.
- Create monthly financial cost report and analysis, explaining trends, understanding cost variances to plan, and providing insights from a procurement perspective to improve cost performance to deliver financial targets.
- Other ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience preferably in financial services.
- Confident with analytical and excel skills.
- Clear communication both written and verbal.
- Previous experience working with key stakeholders.
- Experience with problem solving and decision making.
- Good understanding of basic accounting procedures.
- Ability to work effectively across several functions and across all levels in the organisation.
