Technical Instructors are enthusiastic and energetic and enjoy engaging with learners in a virtual setting. In this role, you can upgrade your CAD skills and effectively manage an online classroom. Your training assignments will allow you to interact with PTC Customers, Partners, and Employees. Day-to-Day Activities Learn how to teach 2-3 classes per month with the help of other PTC instructors Deliver product training (CAD, ALM, PLM) to PTC customers, partners, and employees virtually Demonstrate knowledge of the training curriculum by obtaining certifications and badges Apply knowledge of Adult Learning Principles Engage learners in a virtual setting using video, polling, open-ended questions, and more Provide feedback on the training materials to your instructional design colleagues This position may require up to 10% travel for team meetings Required Experience 3+ years experience with CAD and PLM tools such as Creo, AUTOCAD, Catia, Onshape, SolidWorks, Windchill, Enovia, etc. in the role of drafter, engineer, or product designer Experience or willingness to learn Windchill and Creo Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS TEAMS) Preferred Skills and Knowledge Highly organized, action-oriented, and committed to driving quality results Self-starter, able to keep up in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn and adapt to new processes and technologies Experience teaching online using technology such as MS TEAMS and Virtual Machines Effective prioritization, organization, and multi-tasking skills Project management skills – proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to influence others without formal authority Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $75,000 - $85,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant.
