The goal of Perception and embodied INtElligence (PINE) Lab is to build embodied agents that perceive and interact with the physical world as humans, so that the robot can assist everyone in everyday life to achieve complex human demands. We are looking for a talented and responsible Research Associate to support the scientific research and the engineering practice in perception and embodied intelligence. Key Responsibilities: The Research Associate will work on a project to conduct research on the development of a general robotic manipulation system used in household service and industrial assembly. Develop robotics foundation models for general manipulation tasks on single-arm, dual-arm, mobile, and humanoid robots. Develop efficient manipulation transfer frameworks for robotics foundation models that ground manipulation commonsense to diverse deployment scenarios. Develop safety constraints for robotics foundation models to avoid collision and dangerous robot behaviors. Job Requirements: Masters in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 1-year research experience in a related area. Expertise in robotic manipulation systems. Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge in robotics foundation models. Publication track record is an advantage. Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as ROS and Python.
