We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer to join our innovative team in London. This role will see you developing and maintaining scalable systems that process and analyze vast amounts of financial market data. Your work will directly contribute to the actionable insights we deliver to our clients, helping them make informed trading decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Scala-based applications to process and analyze financial market data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate analytics models into production systems.
- Design and implement robust, high-performance, and fault-tolerant systems for real-time data processing.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
- Contribute to architectural decisions to enhance the scalability and reliability of our platform.
- Strong experience with Scala and functional programming principles.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, and real-time processing.
- Experience with relevant tools and frameworks such as Akka, Kafka, or Spark.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- A background in financial data, trading systems, or analytics is a plus but not essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 base.
- Work in a hybrid model with 3 days in our London office and 2 days remote.
