We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ICT Technician to join our team at Marsden. This is a permanent, full time position being 40 hours per week. Objectives of Position: • Always provide outstanding customer care and support • Troubleshooting hardware, software and Audio-Visual equipment issues • Ensure that all IT help desk tickets and IT queries are responded promptly • Demonstrate initiative to learn technical skills and procedures • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team • Maintain effective and positive contact with all teaching and non-teaching staff • Engender behaviour, positive attitude and practices consistent with the school mission statement • Ensure that visitors feel welcome in the school Responsibilities and Key tasks • Take ownership of the school’s audio-visual equipment (LCD Projectors, TV’s) • Installation, configuration and support of hardware and software components to ensure usability of desktops and laptops (Windows 10/11, macOS, Android) • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues • Basic network/WIFI troubleshooting • Windows Server knowledge (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO) • Support users of Gmail and Google Apps for Education • Basic understanding of Azure Active Directory, Office 365 • MDM JAMF/Intune • Microsoft Hyper V knowledge • Oversee multimedia presentations at assemblies, school productions and other school events including ensuring proper operation of audio visual and lighting systems • Liaising with third party vendors • Make sure that all IT assets are listed/registered • Undertake any other tasks or projects as required from time to time • Provide remote support if needed To apply for the position, please send a covering letter together with your CV and two professional referees to the Principal at employment@marsden.school.nz Applications close Wednesday, 29 January 2025, and will be considered as they are received.
