Overview
Required for leading manufacturer of concrete construction materials. The successful candidate will oversee all maintenance works for the region, reporting directly to the Regional Associate Director.Responsibilities
- Responsible for management & delivery of the maintenance function for our Concrete production facilities.
- Manage planned downtime to achieve required plant Up Time per week.
- Assume leadership role in the scheduling of shutdown maintenance activities.
- Liaise with the Operations Team and Logistics Management in the development of job plans and receive feedback from completed jobs.
- Responsible for the development, management and implementation of the Routine, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programme and associated improvement works, including the identification by root causes recurring process incidents for elimination.
- Develop and maintain a Maintenance Management System to optimise site maintenance planning, spare parts management & inventory control, maintenance metrics data collection and reporting.
- Manage maintenance spare parts storeroom including workflows, spares evaluation and metrics to include identifying critical spares, establishing.
Requirements
- Background in heavy manufacturing/quarrying maintenance or similar.
- Maintenance process and workflow analysis for troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Understanding of the types of machinery – Crushers, excavators, loaders, screeners, conveyors etc.
- Time served trade or equivalent qualification, and/or 3rd level related discipline (e.g. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree).
- 6+ years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
