Technical Lead - Landowner Relations and Property

Newly created role, part of the Landowner Relations & Property leadership team, supporting the identification and implementation of ongoing business change and improvement initiatives nationally. Transpower is a State-Owned Enterprise which owns and operates the National Grid - the transmission network made up of over $5b of assets, which carries electricity around the country. About the team The Landowner Relations and Property Team ensures Transpower's physical access to the grid throughout the asset lifecycle. The team is responsible for acquiring property rights and land access arrangements for Transpower assets, managing Transpower's property and property rights portfolio, and developing and maintaining effective long-term landowner relationships. About the opportunity Based in Wellington, in this newly created Technical Lead role, you'll identify and deliver business and regulatory change and improvement to enable the Landowner Relations and Property team to succeed. You'll provide specialist landowner relations and property regulatory advice, and develop frameworks, systems, tools, policies, and processes to support effective landowner relations and property services. What will you bring? You'll be commercially focused, with good working knowledge of property and land-related regulatory frameworks. Ideally, previous roles have required you to proactively identify and deliver business change and improvement within an operational context. To be considered your CV, cover letter, and experience to date will demonstrate:
  • Experience and working knowledge of land or property-related regulatory frameworks and experience in land or property technical leadership (ideally with a tertiary qualification in a relevant area).
  • Proven ability to deliver effective change, including experience in process improvement and integrating technology to increase automation and efficiency.
  • Outstanding influencing, relationship management, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in coaching, mentoring, and supporting others.
