Job Description
This is a remote position. Scope- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Central (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM Manila Time) with 1 hour unpaid break
- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help with maintaining the general ledger and monitoring financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and profit/loss reports.
- Manage and organize accounting files and documents.
- Assist with invoicing and accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Provide administrative support for the finance team as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments for the accounting department.
- Help with entering financial data into QuickBooks and ensure all transactions are properly categorized.
- Assist in generating QuickBooks reports and ensuring the software is up to date.
- Support the Bookkeeper with any issues related to QuickBooks operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Provide information to auditors and support the audit process.
- Respond to inquiries related to financial matters from internal staff or external vendors.
Requirements
- Education:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support, ideally with a focus on QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with general administrative duties and office management.
- Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax filings is an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with additional accounting software tools beyond QuickBooks.
- Prior experience in an administrative or office support role.
