SAP Material Management Lead

Role: SAP MM Lead Responsibilities

1. Should be able to Design, configure, customize and testing of SAP MM process
2. Knowledge on preparing Functional specification document
3. Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
4. Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
5. Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
6. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions
7. Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems
8. Document functional designs, test cases and results.
9. Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
10. Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects
11. Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required
12. Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 SAP implementation experience as a consultant
• Proven functional consulting experience
• Business process understanding
• Detailed knowledge of SAP Procure to Pay, Materials Management and Inventory Management processes, hands on experience in configuration of P2P and IM processes, including Vendor Management, Product Life Cycle Management, Subcontracting process, Inventory best practices
• Expertise in PO/PR Release strategy setup based on various business requirements
• Knowledge and experience of STO both intra & intercompany with deliveries intercompany processes in SAP
• Work closely with the SAP technical team in the prioritization, testing, and deployment of system change requests and/or providing support
• SAP MM Expertise - Strong knowledge of SAP MM module functionalities, including procurement, inventory management, material valuation, goods receipt, goods issue, invoice verification, and integration with other SAP modules.
• Configure the SAP MM module to meet client requirements, including
• Setting up material master data, vendor master data, purchasing groups, purchasing organizations, pricing procedures, material types, valuation classes, and other relevant configuration settings
• Basic Functions like Account Determination, Free Goods, and Copy Controls
• Design and implement core functionalities of SAP MM including screen controls
• GST process mapping including setting up tax codes, managing tax calculations and handling.
• Integration Knowledge: Understanding of the integration points between SAP MM and other modules like SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP FI (Financial Accounting), and SAP PP (Production Planning)
• Business Process Knowledge: Familiarity with end-to-end procurement processes, inventory management, and vendor management best practices. Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM solutions
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, business users, and cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
