Application Security Specialist

Responsibilities: 1. Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's applications and systems from unauthorized access and security threats. 2. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability tests on applications and systems to identify and address potential risks and weaknesses. 3. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security features and solutions into the development and deployment process of applications. 5. Provide guidance and support to development teams on secure coding practices and security-related issues. 6. Monitor and respond to security incidents, including conducting investigations and implementing remediation actions as needed. 7. Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to the organization's security posture. Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in application security, including hands-on experience with security tools and technologies. - Strong understanding of web application security, including common vulnerabilities and best practices for secure coding. - Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001. - Experience with security testing tools, such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Nmap. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH, are a plus.
