Job details
We are looking for a reliable and skilled driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting construction materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites. This role requires excellent driving skills, a good understanding of construction sites, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles and equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive company vehicles, including trucks, flatbeds, and other construction-related vehicles, to transport materials, tools, and personnel to and from job sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper storage and secure transport.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and fuelled.
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations and ensure safety on and off the construction site.
- Work closely with site managers and supervisors to ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Assist with basic construction tasks on site when required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, deliveries, and mileage.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous driving experience, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment environment.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including trucks, flatbeds, and trailers.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment handling.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and assist on-site when needed.
- Work on various construction sites, in all weather conditions.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project timelines.
- Physically demanding work, including loading and unloading materials.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear.
