Executive Director- Equity Financing

Job Purpose: Launching and managing an equity financing activity. Integrated into the Global Securities Financing team, recognized for its solid expertise in credit repo, you will be the sole person in charge of launching and managing an equity financing trading activity within First Abu Dhabi Bank. The client-driven model that has proven to be profitable and sustainable with fixed income will need to be replicated in equity finance to offer clients from the GCC, in particular, liquidity short-covering in various jurisdictions and easier access to local shares. You will contribute to building P&L or risk reports and advise on improving processes for trading decisions or FO to BO. In your role, you will frequently interact with the structuring team to elaborate new products and enrich the bank's offer, as well as optimize the use of capital and generate alpha from inherited positions. You will support the sales force to onboard new clients. Key Accountabilities:

• Launch a client-driven equity financing trading activity
• Optimize the use of scarce resources
• Carefully manage your risk and reach the P&L target defined for the activity
• Contribute to developing reports and processes for reliable follow-up of the business
• Help spread your expertise within the GSF team
• Onboard the use of swap futures options within the GSF perimeter to ensure synergies are developed and all value is extracted from the activity

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the capital markets industry with a strong and proven track record in equity trading, particularly in equity financing.
• Practical knowledge of usual products used in equity financing activities (TRS, IRS, futures, options)
• Knowledge of Middle East equity markets
• Familiarity with Murex and Triparty platforms
• Autonomous and entrepreneurial with a team spirit
