Lead Asset Integrity Engineer (Internal Candidates)

Position Summary:
Drawing on a background in civil, mechanical, chemical/plant engineering, or otherwise related to the oil and gas industry, the role will lead and play an active role in the Asset Integrity Engineering Team. The team will be analysing large volumes of visual data from offshore infrastructure to identify and label mechanical, structural and hydraulic features in this data for the purposes of condition assessment and asset integrity management. Also undertake condition assessment of various inshore and offshore structures using visual and other data, based on established client or industry codes/frameworks.
The role is critical in the distribution of work within the team and refinement of workflow processes, as necessary. The lead may also be involved in the design of new work processes under the direction of the Chief Engineer/Head Asset Integrity Engineer. Basic quality assurance tasks on the work produced by the team are integral part of the role. In managing the team, the position will liaise closely with an overseas engineering team.
Key responsibilities:

1. Responsible for delivery of engineering projects or elements of projects as assigned by the senior management.
2. Translates project work by planning and allocating tasks to individual members of the team.
3. Implements existing workflows for various projects. Adjusts existing workflows and processes as required by project requirements and/or to refine business processes.
4. Manages a team of engineers to achieve project objectives within allocated time frame. Tracks and maintains individual performance within the team in line with benchmarks.
5. Designs and implements new workflows in conjunction with Head Asset Integrity Engineer.
6. Collaborate with other lead engineers for a seamless and uniform implementation of the above within all Asset Integrity teams.
7. Provides adequate feedback and guidance to the team, and translates and aligns organizational goals across the board.
8. Ensures a high standard of quality is maintained in all work produced by the team.
9. Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the senior management as required. Supports project manager information requirements for planning and project tracking.

1. High attention to detail.
2. Experience in managing teams of 8-12 people on distributed work.
3. Experience in managing the preparation of engineering (consultancy) reports.
4. Experience managing a team undertaking engineering analysis (for internal or consultancy purposes).
5. A total of at least 4+ years of industrial experience in a relevant engineering role, including 1.5 to 2 years of experience within Abyss.
6. Experience working in the O&G industry (preferably with offshore infrastructure).
7. Familiarity with interpreting various engineering schematics.
8. Strong computer skills with demonstrated ability to quickly pick up the use of new software.
9. Experience in the use of CAD models of structures and/or engineering components.
10. Familiarity with interpreting P&ID and/or plant process diagrams.
11. Familiarity with Digital Twins.
12. Familiarity with the use of Autodesk Navisworks and/or AutoCAD.
13. Familiarity with the use of Autodesk Recap and working with point cloud data.
14. Experience in manual data labeling.
15. Experience in working with or as part of remote teams.
16. Sound leadership acumen and demonstrative team management capabilities.
