Aircraft Engineer (AW109/Bell 429) – B1.3 Licensed Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Position Overview Steele Charles are delighted to have been retained by a leading aerospace company in Hampshire to find a talented and dedicated Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join their maintenance team. This role is tailored for a B1.3-certified professional (B2 License preferred) with type ratings for the AW109 and/or Bell 429. This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art helicopters and contribute to a dynamic, fast-growing organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AW109 and/ or Bell 429 helicopters.
  • Conduct inspections, repairs, and modifications in line with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system faults comprehensively.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough maintenance records, completing all required documentation promptly.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Collaborate with the management and technical teams to optimize maintenance operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with EASA and CAA regulations.
  • Uphold and implement stringent health and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills Essential:
  • Valid EASA B1.3 License (B2 License highly desirable).
  • Type ratings for AW109 and/or Bell 429.
  • UK citizenship (proof required).
  • In-depth knowledge of EASA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety management systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Leadership capabilities to supervise teams and provide technical support.
  • Proficiency in maintenance software and documentation systems.
Working Conditions
