Senior Data Engineer with Scala

Our advertising team plays a crucial role in Xing's monetization. The team is responsible for developing products that support both the B2B and B2C aspects of the business, and collaborates closely with product, sales, marketing, and data analytics departments. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to the development of features that support optimisation of Xing’s digital advertising ecosystem. Your tasks:

• Work within a product development team, including Data Engineers, Data scientists and the Product Manager to come up with ideas, develop new product features and support existing features in a diverse, international, and cross-functional set-up.
• Design and implement components in a sustainable fashion (e.g. having on observability, computational costs, ease of use, future maintenance costs) .
• Build, deploy, monitor and operate services within our infrastructure, while automating processes.
• Use technologies like Kubernetes, Python, Scala, Kafka and Snowflake.

• Experience working within agile methodologies and devops set-ups;
• Great programming skills in scala and python;
• Know how on developing applications using kafka messaging and MySQL database;
• Experience building workflows in snowflake ecosystem (snowflake, airflow, dbt);
• Expertise in AWS services, including AWS RDS and AWS EKS
• Good SQL skills;
• Fluent in English.
