Due to growth in our Custodial team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Custodial Administrator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Custodial Manager, this is a permanent full-time position, based at our Head Office in Tauranga. The Senior Custodial Administrator is responsible for transferring new clients into Custodial Services Ltd (CSL), moving stock between existing CSL clients, and arranging stock movements out of CSL. The role is required to collaborate across the Operations team, the Private Wealth Advisory network, external registrars, brokers and custodians. As a senior team member, the role will also provide support to other team members as required. The main responsibilities are to:

  • Advise the Private Wealth Advisory network on best practice and market convention for transfers, lodgements and withdrawals.
  • Coordinate the lodgement of all physical stock into custody for all portfolio service levels.
  • Assist with Broker-to-Broker transfers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with External Custodian counterparties and Brokers.
  • Provide back up for reconciliation of the QI account, and cover for other reconciliation tasks.
  • Provide cover to process multi-currency Unit Trust applications and redemptions via the Pie Processing Tool and manage the payment or receipt of funds in multiple currencies, booking contracts upon confirmation.
About you Given the senior nature of this administrator position, we are ideally looking for someone with prior experience in a similar field, or with a Financial Services background. This role will suit a professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative team. The successful candidate will have strong time management skills and be a team player. You will also have:
  • A relevant qualification in finance, commerce or business administration (desirable)
  • Understanding of market terminology and financial products and instruments
  • Experience in share registries process (NZ, Australia and International)
  • Curiosity to learn, with a willingness to become a subject matter expert
  • Ability to understand, demonstrate and share best practice
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly, embracing new technology, systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
