Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand existing legacy software systems to plan and execute technology conversion projects.
  • Develop and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks, primarily CodeIgniter and Laravel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in legacy code and provide effective solutions.
  • Migrate existing applications to modern frameworks, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions are top-notch.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in PHP development with expertise in both CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful API development.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React is a plus.
  • Proficient in MySQL or other relational databases, including database design and optimization.
  • Experience in migrating legacy software to modern frameworks.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Exposure to other PHP frameworks is an added advantage.
