Job Summary: As a Senior Ab Initio and Spark Developer, you will lead the design and development of complex data processing applications within our organization. With 7 to 10 years of experience, you will be an expert in leveraging the strengths of both Ab Initio and Apache Spark to deliver scalable and performance-driven data solutions. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with a track record of implementing effective data workflows and an individual who is adept at mentoring team members and steering the evolution of our data capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design sessions and technical reviews, creating a robust, scalable, and high-performance data architecture.
• Develop sophisticated ETL processes with Ab Initio and construct large-scale data processing systems with Spark.
• Conduct advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting of Ab Initio and Spark applications.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices in data processing and engineering.
• Consult with business stakeholders to refine data requirements and align solutions with strategic objectives.
• Oversee the deployment of data pipelines in production environments, ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.
• Manage complex data integration projects from inception to delivery, balancing resource allocation and timelines.
• Foster innovative solutions by keeping abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the data engineering space.
• Champion the adoption of Agile methodologies and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the data engineering team.
• Document technical designs, processes, and data schemas for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio and Apache Spark in a data-intensive environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing high-volume data integration processes.
• Robust knowledge of Java, Scala, or Python and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex data projects with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of optimizing data systems for performance and reliability.
• In-depth understanding of big data technologies, data modeling, and data architecture principles.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in leading a team of data engineers and developers.
• Certifications in Apache Spark, Ab Initio, or other big data technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and platforms like AWS(Preferred)
• Experience with additional big data tools such as Hadoop, Kafka, or data streaming technologies.
