Start here. Grow here. AECOM is recruiting for Senior level Electrical Engineer to join our growing T&D team based in the Republic of Ireland or the UK. The need arises from major growth in our work for traditional and nontraditional endmarkets including the connection of renewable generation to the transmission system to meet the governments 2030 targets and the connection of hyperscale data centres to the transmission system. We are recruiting for a Senior Engineer with experience in HV projects to join our T&D team. The T&D department delivers project management design and owners engineer role for electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltages across Ireland and across the world. The focus of the team is largescale grid infrastructure grid connections and private networks. The work can be varied and there will be a lot of opportunity to learn in the role. Heres what youll do :
- Primary plant layouts for HV substations.
- Equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.
- Providing engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
- Owners Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
- Providing HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g. Battery storage Solar Hydro and Wind generation.
- Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrable Experience of working on HV projects
- Experience of working with major utilities or developers
- Experience as a designer or as project engineer
- Experience of developing specifications for substation control systems transformers GIS and AIS switchgear.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.
- Fluency in English
- Experience in Technical report writing
- Strong collaboration and coordination skills between teams clients and stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness with experience in monitoring and control of engineering budgets.
- Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status).
