JOB DESCRIPTION Wood is currently looking for a Technical Expeditor - E&I Packages to strengthen our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focal point for vendors for all E&I procurement packages.
- Expedite PMRV / MTO issuance in coordination with discipline engineers and project lead, in line with project schedule.
- Support engineering disciplines to identify alternate materials in the warehouse including liaising with warehouse personnel.
- Expedite Material Requisition (MR) issuance in coordination with discipline engineers, projects control and procurement, in line with schedule.
- Expedite receipt of bids post submission of MR and notify Project Leads if there is a delay which is affecting the overall project.
- Expediting purchase orders daily with a priority focus with procurement for contract and non contract items.
- Co-ordinate with Engineering discipline for TBE report issuance and notify Project Leads if there is a delay which is affecting the overall project.
- Monitor MSR Material status report and keep a track of package movement to see if there is any slip in ROS date to notify Project Leads.
- Coordinate Post order supplier technical queries and deviation requests. Expedite TQ response post submission to procurement and notify Project Leads if there is a delay which is affecting the overall project.
- Coordinate Kick off Meeting (KOM) with procurement and vendor and liaise with vendor to close out KOM open points and issuance of meeting minutes.
- Expedite submission of vendor document register and coordinate for planned submission date to align with overall project schedule.
- Expedite submission of critical engineering documents by vendor and follow-up for approval of critical engineering document by liaising with engineering disciplines, QA/QC, material engineer and client.
- Manage SDRs including liaising with internal disciplines including material specialist, QA/QC and client. Following-up to get the SDR approved and notify project lead if there is a slippage in delivery due to SDRs.
- Liaising with vendor and QA/QC to arrange the PIM in order to provide clearance to begin manufacturing. (including close-out any open actions from PIM).
- Monitoring vendor for sub order placements as per schedule. Expediting of vendor packages daily with priority focus.
- Expediting vendors to confirm status of orders, sub-orders and validate the agreed manufacturing schedules.
- Follow-up balance supplier documentation submission in-line with agreed planned submission date.
- Notifying Project Leads of any potential schedule slippages from agreed contractual delivery date.
- Negotiate with vendor for delivery recovery plans where required.
- Update Project Lead, Procurement and Supply Chain regarding the status of the packages.
- Liaising with internal engineering departments and vendor to close out any technical issues delaying the progress of P.O.
- Expedite issuance of Inspection Release note (including follow up on closing out the open punch points from inspection). Liaison/Coordination with QA/QC for issuance of IRN (after successful FAT/IFAT/desk review of certificate/reports).
- Expedite final documentation (Test reports, MRB, VMC and certificates etc).
- Liaising with vendor and follow-up post packing till delivery to site.
- Keeping track of package movement from vendor facility until receipt at site or warehouse including up to identifying who has received the package at site or warehouse.
- Managing site queries i.e; coordinating/following up with internal disciplines and client to get the queries answered on time. Further, get updates from site to close-out on site queries (to support Project Leads).
- Participate in weekly Procurement Status Review Meeting (Review of Status Report) with the Project Team.
- Conducting Weekly progress calls with Vendor, preparing minutes and follow up on actions. Update Project Leads with package progress.
- Receive, review and issue field expediting progress reports and update the system accordingly.
- Monitor the progress of receipt and return of supplier documentation.
- Visit suppliers on request of the Supply Chain Management on the project.
- Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices, Woods vision, values, and behaviors.
- Contribution to the post-order supplier performance evaluations.
- Engineering degree is required preferably in Instrumentation or Electrical.
- 10 years of Industry Experience.
- Good soft and written English skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of E&I Package Management experience in the Oil and Gas industries.
- The individual should have previous experience in a similar level role.
- Previous expediting experience in packages like Remote Instrument Enclosures, Local Control Room, E-house, Chemical Injection skids, Compressor system, etc.
- Very good knowledge of project procurement execution (from cradle to grave).
- Detailed Knowledge of Supply Chain Pre and Post Order Practices.
- Strong Team Player with Excellent Communication Skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
