The successful candidate will be experienced in translating system requirements to innovative electronics design solutions, leading to successful customer acceptance within project timescales and budget Job Responsibilities A Senior Electronics Engineer is responsible for:
- The thorough and architectural design of electronic systems to satisfy specifications.
- Assuming a role as an impartial reviewer or design authority in support of projects, proposals, and product development activities.
- Assisting the company's own product research and development efforts to enhance engineering quality, effectiveness, and cost.
- Taking into account test and design for manufacture to ensure a smooth transition to production.
- System integration of fixes, such as defect location.
- Attending pertinent Design Review Meetings and taking part in project reviews and support presentations.
- Collaborating with outside testing facilities to show that equipment complies with European and MoD standards, including CE/UKCA labelling.
- Following all corporate rules, safe operating procedures, and health and safety laws.preparing top-notch paperwork and drawings related to the development lifecycle (such as schematics, change notes, and bills of materials), as well as configuration in compliance with corporate policies.
- The ability to design, develop and review digital and analogue circuits (from concept to final product)
- The ability to meet technical requirements through all phases of design, integration and leading to customer acceptance.
- Experience in all aspects of electronics product design including legislative compliance, e.g. UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, Safety, etc.
- A degree-level education or equivalent qualification.
- The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
- Experience working with MoD Customers and equipment test standards.
- Experience designing safety-critical systems or mission-critical systems.
- Experience designing, developing, and reviewing firmware subsystems (from concept to final product)
- Experience in safety-critical electronics
