A focus on hands-on engineering—this role prioritizes classical analysis, so no extensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform classical static stress analysis on landing gear components and assemblies, ensuring they meet stringent military safety and design standards.
- Conduct fatigue and durability assessments, evaluating the lifespan of landing gear under real-world operational loads.
- Provide critical structural validation support to design and engineering teams, enabling robust and reliable landing gear designs.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance designs, addressing structural integrity and performance.
- Deliver detailed stress reports, calculations, and technical documentation to meet project objectives.
- Uphold military and regulatory standards to guarantee the safety, reliability, and performance of landing gear systems.
- Proven experience with classical stress analysis methods, focusing on static and fatigue loading for aerospace or military systems.
- Deep understanding of material properties, failure modes, and structural behaviour in landing gear applications.
- Confidence tackling technical challenges without relying on advanced FEA tools.
- Familiarity with military or aerospace standards for landing gear design is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with landing gear projects in the military or defence sector.
- Expertise in fatigue analysis and lifecycle assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for military-grade landing gear systems.
