Quality Manager
Job details
Location: Cheshire, England (site-based) Salary: £40,000-£48,000 plus bonus This is a producer in the ambient food industry that’s on the up. With a team that’s doubled in size in the past 5 years, an expanding customer base both in the UK and overseas, as well as some big new projects in the pipeline, 2025 is looking like an exciting year. The business has a number of very long-serving staff, with employees being well looked after. Being privately held and with a pretty flat structure, there's no politics or drama here. In this position, you’ll manage a small team, whilst leading BRCGS audit standards, HACCP/VACCP/TACCP and all food safety projects. You’ll keep quality risk assessments updated, manage onsite allergens, work with the Production Manager in site compliance checks and conduct supplier audits. The audits range from Somerset to Sweden – but expect to travel a few days every couple of months. This isn’t a business that gets many complaints, but if any arise, you’ll need to deal with them professionally – that means being a strong communicator who can take unexpected scenarios in your stride. We’ll need to see at least 5 years’ Quality experience within a food manufacturing environment, a minimum of level 3 HACCP, a strong understanding of QMS and experience of relevant GFSI standards. Ready for a change in 2025? Apply now and we’ll tell you more about it.
