We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Global Financial Markets team in Sydney with a focus on Energy and Infrastructure Financing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising on a broad range of financing transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structuring negotiation and execution of financing transactions for energy and infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert legal advice on a variety of financing arrangements including project finance corporate finance acquisition finance and structured finance.
- Manage and coordinate due diligence processes risk assessments and the preparation of transaction documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with partners and other associates across different jurisdictions to ensure a cohesive service offering to our clients.
- Mentor and supervise junior associates and other team members contributing to their professional development.
- Stay abreast of market trends regulatory changes and innovations in the energy and infrastructure financing sectors.
- Contribute to business development activities including pitching and presenting to potential clients.
- Participate in industry conferences and events to enhance the firms profile and network within the sector.
- Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.
- Minimum of 4 years postqualification experience (UK notional) ideally with a specific focus on energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record of leading complex financing transactions.
- Excellent legal analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Commitment to highquality work and attention to detail.
- Admitted to practice in Australia or another common law jurisdiction.
- You will be working with a broad range clients and the firms other teams and practice areas not only in Australia but across the globe
- Extensive client contact both as a part of your daily working routine and special opportunities such as providing client training and organizing client seminars
- You will develop an unbeatable multidisciplinary skill set as well as client facing skills whilst working with some of the bestknown market leaders in their respective practice areas
- You will benefit from a comprehensive training program in a broad range of clientfocused skills
