Job Title: Electronics Engineering Project Manager Location: Stevenage, Bristol, or Bolton Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (DOE) Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Electronics Engineering Project Manager to join a leading organisation within the UK Defence sector. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to national security and innovation. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of electronic engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, testing, production, and supply chain, to achieve project goals.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with MOD regulations, defence standards, and export control requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to manage requirements and expectations.
- Produce regular reports and updates for senior management on project progress, risks, and milestones.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management and engineering processes.
- Proven experience in project management within the defence, aerospace, or a highly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic systems and engineering principles, ideally within defence electronics.
- Familiarity with UK defence standards (e.g., DEF STAN) and Ministry of Defence (MOD) procedures.
- Demonstrable experience managing full project lifecycles, including risk and change management.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC or above).
- A degree in Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., APM, PMI, or IET).
- Experience working in a multi-national or collaborative environment.
