Deputy General Manager - Health, Safety and Environment

Job Responsibilities

• Develop & execute strategies in transforming the HSE agenda company wide.
• Improve systems & processes pertaining to HSE + Health & Wellness.
• Provide subject matter leadership on topics pertaining to HSE + Health & Wellness.
• Continuously develop, train and upskill the HSE + Wellness team to handle audits effectively.
• Accountable on ensuring both Health, Safety, Environment & Health + Wellness frameworks are established and maintained.
• Oversee multiple sites planning, engaging, building network and relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance (e.g. DOSH, DOE, BOMBA).
• Oversee and accountable for inspections to detect Safety & Health hazards. Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee overall development, review and update Safety & Health policy to adhere to regulatory/ industry compliance.
• Conduct and implement comprehensive audit plans and procedures to adhere to regulatory/ industry compliance requirements.
• Close gaps identified in Safety & Health compliance matters and including providing recommendation for annual plan and budget.
• Navigate and influence multiple stakeholders across different cultures and perspectives to promote the Safety, Health and Environment awareness.

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science discipline. Certification from DOSH.
• Registered member with NIOSH.
• At least 10 years of Occupational Safety, Health & Environment work experience in large scale manufacturing.
• People management experience.
• Sound knowledge on HSE operations with focus on the areas of business, strategic & HSE concepts.
