Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Advanced Degree in Special Education or related allied health courses.
- 1–2 years of experience (fresh graduates with volunteering experience are welcome).
- Fluent in English and Malay (Mandarin and Tamil are a plus).
- Positive attitude, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, proactive problem solver with leadership capabilities.
- Passionate about teamwork and driven to meet challenges with innovative solutions.
- Assess clients' abilities and limitations, manage individual and group sessions to assist children and/or teenagers with developmental delays in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Assess, provide clear classroom plans, and coordinate care for patients and families at the center and home in individual and group sessions.
- Exhibit good adaptability, empathy, and play skills with children, maintaining patience and rapport with clients of all ages and developmental conditions in a respectful and ethical manner.
- Write and present professional reports during consultations and to third parties in good English and Malay.
- Maintain a good and respectful attitude towards others.
- Work well in a multidisciplinary team.
- Initiate discussions with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons for special needs students.
- Provide proactive ideas to enhance service and progress in cases handled.
