Junior Project Engineer needed for a successful civil contracting business servicing the Bay of Plenty based out of Tauranga.

• Min 3+ years post grad experience with New Zealand experience a must

Full Job Description Our client is a highly respected, well-established civil, land development and water projects contracting firm. They now have a full-time permanent role for a Junior Project Engineer with previous civils experience in either water projects, roads, subdivisions, earthworks, bridgework, or general complex civil infrastructure experience, working on projects with an emphasis on complex civil works. The job description would include (but not limited to) the following:

• Assistance with delivery of contracts to ensure budgets and time-frames are met.
• Working with management to ensure monthly claims are completed thoroughly.
• Scheduling of staff, sub contractors and equipment to ensure jobs run efficiently.
• Performance reviews of on the ground staff in conjunction with senior management.
• Communicate confidently with clients, engineers, council representatives and on the ground staff.
• Ensure all works are completed to the required standards.
• Recording of all QA and testing requirements.
• Ensure all H&S requirements are prepared for individual jobs and ensure these requirements are carried out on-site.

To be considered for this role it is vital that you have the following skills:

• Tertiary quals in Civil Engineering
• Worked on civil projects NZ such as earthworks, water projects or various civil projects
• Strong communication skills
• High level of organisation
• Be able to work and contribute as part of a team
• Exceptional understanding of OH&S policies
• Ability to think and react quickly to any difficulties which may arise in the workplace
• Be able to work confidently with different personalities and create a positive and happy work environment.
• Have good computer skills.
