The Registered Kinesiologist is responsible for performing a variety of occupational testing for TELUS clients. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE KINESIOLOGIST Perform functional testing for occupational health (i.e. grip strength, musculoskeletal screens, step tests, sit and reach, back fitness, etc.) Provide feedback and fitness related information to and answer clients’ questions Conduct clinic testing including vision/colour vision, audiometry, spirometry, resting ECGs, blood draw, urinalysis testing Explain procedures to patients and answer test-related questions Responsible to conduct weekly medical supply inventory checks and order supplies as needed Keep equipment and testing areas clean and in good working order. Ensure examination rooms are adequately stocked with medical supplies Drug and alcohol testing in compliance with the Department of Transportation regulations- training provided Other duties as assigned Qualifications Completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics or Kinesiology and registration with College of Kinesiologists of Ontario At least 6 months - 1 year of relevant work experience CSEP or ACSM certifications will be considered an asset Knowledge of BRUCE protocol is highly preferred Personal Training certification, an asset Phlebotomy/venipuncture certification (an asset) Current CPR Level C is mandatory Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential Personal qualities must include high level of maturity, professionalism, respect for confidentiality and commitment to the superior level of customer satisfaction Adequate level of technical proficiency and computer literacy is required #INDTH #LI-Onsite Salary Range: $21-$39 Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 0% Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.
