Delta’s IT InfoSec Network Security – DevOps is responsible for:
- High performing and self-motivated, extensive professional experience in designing, implementing and managing network security solutions, and in providing network support.
- Lead Network Security Engineer – DevOps supports automation repetitive tasks, such as firewall policy configuration, to increase efficiency and reduce the potential for human error.
- Lead Network Security Engineer – DevOps supports automating integration and deployment processes to ensure code changes are tested and deployed quickly and reliably.
- Lead Network Security Engineer – DevOps supports managing and provisioning computing infrastructure through machine-readable definition files, rather than physical hardware configuration or interactive configuration tools.
- Lead Network Security Engineer – DevOps supports continuously improving the performance and scalability of internal tools and infrastructure components including regular review and ideas to improve processes, tools, and practices to enhance the overall Network Security workflow.
- Lead Network Security Engineer – DevOps supports responding to and managing incidents to minimize downtime and impact on users.
- Lead Network Security Engineer – DevOps supports Facilitating better communication and collaboration between development and operations teams to improve efficiency and reduce silos.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Typically, 6+ years of hands-on experience with Python and AWS in production environments is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong understanding of Python programming, including experience with frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Experience in scripting programs like Python, JavaScript, HTML, JASON, YAML
- Proficiency in writing efficient, clean, and testable code
- Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or boto3 (for AWS integrations).
- Expertise in the areas of network security and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, and IAM, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and using AWS Lambda in Python projects.

- Experience with AWS monitoring tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Self-starter, the ability follow-through on completion of tasks with guidance and direction

- Builds and maintains effective communication and relationships with the management team, vendors, and peers.
- Knowledge of Networking and Security: A strong understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols, is essential. Knowledge of cloud networking and security principles is also valuable.
- Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to the managed security appliance and its integration with other systems.
- BS Degree or college equivalent degree
- Builds and maintains effective communication and relationships with the management team, vendors, and peers.
- Balances multiple priorities within established time constraints
- Flexibility to support an operation with varying shifts, extended hours
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate (Recommended)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (Recommended)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Recommended)
- Python-specific certifications, such as those from Microsoft or Python Institute
- IT Support Experience (5 years+ months) within a development, production or test environment
- PCNSA - Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (Recommended)
- AWS Cloud Practitioner (Recommended)
