The MUFG Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Team provides middle office and trade support services for investment managers. By outsourcing their internal operations to the MUFG BPO team our clients benefit from our specialised expertise optimising their internal resources and maintaining focus on their core investment strategies. Reporting to the Junior Associate Director of BPO Operations responsibilities include performing reconciliations (cash/trade/positions/other) wire value implementations and performance reporting. Additionally the candidate should have a desire to expand their knowledge through training and possess investigative and problemsolving skills acquired through education or previous experience. As a Junior Associate you will:
- Be able to work early hours (starting from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm) to meet market deadlines ensuring timely and accurate processing of all trades.
- Resolve trade related disputes and breaks with Prime Brokers Custodians Executing brokers and Investment Managers.
- Proactively Identify and resolve breaks by preparing a detailed report for the client.
- Support trading operations between the front and back office from postexecution through to settlement.
- Ensure daily cash and position reconciliations are delivered to the client while adhering to the agreed upon service level agreement.
- Input trade and cash wire instructions (SWIFT) ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Liaise with clients banks brokers and custodians to ensure accurate elections on corporate actions when required.
- Respond to all client queries through communication directly with client operational staff daily
- University Degree in Finance Economics Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive mindset for risk mitigation and process improvement
- Working knowledge of baseline financial products such as: Bonds Swaps on Equities Futures Options Equities.
- Working knowledge of financial products such as: Interest Rate Swaps Total Return Swaps MortgageBacked Securities would be considered an advantage but not necessary
- Time management Skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Strong computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
