Our South Florida franchisee’s (SFF-MBFS) M&A deal team is industry agnostic and has 80+ years of cumulative experience in successfully advising in $5B+ in lower-middle market M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions. This is a full-time, remote role for an Investment Banking Associate. SFF-MBFS Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation, and analytical aptitude. - Preparing historical and projected financial statements, quality of earnings analysis, provide analysis of financial implications of mergers and acquisitions and conducting valuation analysis
- Involved in execution activities including (but not limited) to data gathering, analysis and material preparation, as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation
- Develop marketing and support materials including (but not limited) executive summaries, confidential information memorandums (CIM), and management presentations
- Facilitate data requests from clients
- Support financial, commercial, operational and legal due diligence
- Interact with clients’ senior executives and institutional financial sponsors
- Supports senior team members in marketing/origination activities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work on multiple tasks
- Possess good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- M&A, capital raising, investment banking, accounting or other relevant experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years investment banking work experience with a top-tier investment required
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques and transaction execution
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Masters degree or higher in business, accounting, finance, and or economics
- CFA or working towards CFA designation is a plus
