System Engineer - SCCM -L3 (Patch Management) Required 4-8 years experience Job Location: Chennai/ Hyderabad/ Bangalore/ Pune Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) Must-Have Job Description: 1. Assess software patches and create recommended patch list with logical explanation in terms of compliance. 2. Develop and optimize pre- and post- patching process to ensure proper implementation without any outages. 3. Score each patch based on risks & opportunity to prioritize. Identify which patches are more valuable to the organization than others. 4. Coordinate patch schedule with other teams such as patch team, infrastructure management, security operations, governance & risk. Communicate project and operational metrics. 5. Assist in developing action plans, schedules, budgets, status and metrics reports as well as other management communications intended to improve and enterprise patch management program. 6. Must be able to create deployment patch package using SCCM and WSUS 7. Thorough testing of patches in a non-Production environment. Must be able to think ahead to avoid business outages based on the lab results. 8. Develop and implement patch and vulnerability remediation process including package creation, testing and deployment. 9. Strong skills on End user Computing with hands-on experience on Software Distribution, Patch management and Autopilot. 10. Have a good understanding of Hardware and Operating System lifecycles! 11. Strong experience on Windows Desktop operating systems and applications including extensive knowledge with Active Directory and Group Policies. 12. Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology, like cloud, MS Intune. 13. Responsible for the management, escalation and resolution of all incidents, problems and standard changes reported to the End User Computing domain. 14. Create and maintain reports for patch compliance and system audit data. 15. Prepare daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly reports pertaining to EUC patching. 16. Knowledge in Global IT Asset Patch management. 17. Responsible for controlling the ageing tickets and mean time to repair time. 18. Ensure to complete the successful software/patch deployment globally. 19. Drives weekly incident, problem and change management review calls.
