Position Profile Weaver is looking for talented Tax professionals at the Assistant Manager /Supervisor level candidate to join our growing firm! The Candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. As this role is provisions-focused, the candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter, and understand that the busy season for work often differs from a typical tax busy season. This position can be based in Chennai, Bengaluru, or Coimbatore as part of Weaver and Tidwell India, L.L.P. To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 6 or 6+ years of public accounting experience
- Proficient in CCH Axcess, Prosystem Fx Engagement, Gofile room
- Experience in Preparing federal tax returns – Partnership and Corporate returns.
- Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
- Independent training and self-development, including researching and self-involving based on available resources
- Fluent writing and verbal skills in English, including grammatical accuracy
- Willing to work in office with team members and managers
- Problem solving skills and able to work independently successfully
- Ability to grasp new concepts
- Able to work flexible hours when key client or team meetings are needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Master’s degree in Accounting, or related field is preferred
- EA, CPA, CPA candidate, CA or CA candidate, CMA or CMA candidate
- Knowledge/experience of Energy industry along with knowledge in Tax Journal entries & knowledge Tax adjustments.
- Strong knowledge of excel and formula usage wherever applicable.
