Communications Specialist Pretoria

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas:

1. Develop external and internal communications and stakeholder strategies.
2. Develop a comprehensive plan for all project related activities.
3. Execute communications and stakeholder plans for the payment’s modernisation project.
4. Write, produce, and edit high-quality content for speeches, presentations, and all communications channels.
5. Partner with and engage departments of the SARB to ensure coordination and alignment of communication messages.
6. Plan and implement the communications operational plan for the programme.
7. Manage service providers, stakeholders, and agencies supporting and executing strategic communications initiatives.
8. Assess, review, and report on the effectiveness of communications strategies on the payment’s ecosystem modernisation and RTGS programmes.
9. Monitor and analyse the Banks’ external and internal environment specific to the project.
10. Remain current with RTGS and payments ecosystem developments.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum of a Diploma (NQF6) in Communication/Journalism/Economics. • 3-5 years of experience in a media, communications environment, projects, and/or programme environment. • Additional requirements include industry, economics, and business awareness, change management, communications strategy, communications channels/platforms, business continuity management, continuous improvement, excellent writing communication skill, communications project management skill, and stakeholder management skill.
