Experience: 5 Yrs Location: Bangalore We are now looking for an experienced Backend Architect to join our innovative team. Role Overview: As an Architect at FrontM, you'll be at the forefront of designing and developing highly scalable, performant systems using serverless architectures. You'll be responsible for architecting robust backend systems using AWS Lambda and leading the development of micro-apps that are packed into React.js components to be deployed on users' mobile devices and desktops. These micro-apps are powered by our custom-built native runtime, designed for iOS, Android, and web platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop serverless Node.js backend systems with AWS Lambda.
- Design and implement scalable edge computing solutions that allow code to run on user devices.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design micro-apps in React.js, to be deployed across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web).
- Optimise performance for systems operating on mobile and desktop environments.
- Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of both backend systems and distributed micro-app architecture.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team on architectural best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve our tech stack.
- Proven experience as an Architect or senior developer, with strong expertise in Node.js.
- Extensive experience with serverless architectures, particularly AWS Lambda.
- Experience designing and deploying edge computing solutions.
- Proficiency with React.js and an understanding of native mobile and web runtimes.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
- Experience in building scalable, maintainable, and secure distributed systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Experience with containerisation and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
