Site Supervisor

Location: Kempton Park, Johannesburg Salary: R25 000 - R35 000 Per Month (Based On Experience) Mobile Racking and Helving business seeks a Site Supervisor who is competent to install and maintain mobile racking systems in warehouses. The ideal candidate must be able to handle both the electrical and mechanical aspects of these installations.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Liaise with clients to maintain and improve service levels.
2. Perform site inspections independently and report findings.
3. Do repairs and maintenance of new and existing systems.
4. Manage and plan new installations.
5. Respond to breakdowns.
6. Train assistants as well as supervise assistants, as and when necessary.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Have recognisable technical qualifications - RED SEAL Electrician.
2. Minimum 5 years working experience as a RED SEAL Electrician.
3. PLC experience advantageous.
4. Be experienced in fault finding – must be able to work unsupervised.
5. Problem-solving ability.
6. Must be physically and medically fit and able to work in the cold at -20° Celsius, for varying lengths of time.
7. Have the ability to work at heights.
8. Be able to read drawings (experience in reading electrical drawings is advantageous).
9. Be prepared to work weekends, if and when required.
10. Be disciplined and pay attention to detail – following procedures is of utmost importance.
11. Ability to perform administrative duties, such as the completion of breakdown and planned work in accordance with a technical job card system, writing reports following inspections, drawing up quotes, etc.
12. Be able to complete project work in accordance with project schedules.
13. Have the ability to work with a diverse cultural mix of people.
14. Valid Code EC or EC1 driver’s licence.
15. Valid and updated passport.
16. Clear criminal record.

19. Sober habits.
20. Self-assured.
21. Ability to work unsupervised.
22. Clear, effective and efficient communication skills.
23. Team-player.
