Meta is seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Manager to join our organization. The ideal candidate will contribute with both hands-on and strategic support of our people managers through performance management and workplace conflict issues to cultivate an innovative, high-performing, and inclusive culture. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to assess different types of risk, and bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a growing organization. They should also have proven experience leading, growing, and scaling experienced HR professionals.

Employee Relations Manager Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of Employee Relations Partners and Managers who work across multiple business groups to assist employees and managers in resolving issues and grievances.
  2. Provide strategic Employee Relations support, business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.
  3. Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
  4. Triage employee relations casework, identify potential solutions to address different case types and actions appropriately using guidelines.
  5. Provide rigorous data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends in employee relations to actively drive proactive solutions to minimize reactive work.
  6. Help balance risk, taking into account employee, business, and company perspectives.
  7. Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the HR Business Partner, Legal, Investigations, and HR Programs teams to implement solutions and help scale the business.
  8. Partner closely with regional HR partners on global strategy and execution.
  9. Plan, execute, and evaluate complex assignments that have an impact in the region or with the clients supported.
  10. Participate and lead projects as an integral member of the extended HR community and influence others within the organization.
  11. Build collaborative and productive working relationships.
  12. Lead with integrity, respect, high personal standards, and build personal credibility.
  13. Build internal community (e.g., supports others, shows respect, acts as an ally, onboards new hires, connects people, collaborates well, drives inclusion).
  14. Actively involved in interviewing and onboarding new employees.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 10+ years of experience in Employee Relations and/or HR Business Partner roles.
  2. 3+ years of experience managing HR/ER professionals.
  3. Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business.
  4. Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
  5. Demonstrates empathy and experience driving inclusion work.
  6. Demonstrates project management and change management experience.
  7. Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and cultivating relationships across teams.
  8. Experience using data to identify insights that drive action.
  9. Experience helping global and/or matrixed organizations scale.
  10. Demonstrated experience in influencing and strategically solving problems.
  11. Consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  12. Proven experience leading, growing, and scaling experienced HR professionals.
