QHSE Specialist

Job Summary Manage existing QHSE MS and implement the continuous improvement model for the organization's quality, health, safety and environmental management system intended to protect the organization's employees, the environment, and property against harm or damage. Responsibilities

1. Inspect and verify technical documentation for incoming and outgoing goods.
2. Register and maintain status of inspections and deviations.
3. Supplier quality follow-up, inspections, verification.
4. Contribute to communicating our quality requirements to our suppliers and partners.
5. Advice on technical standards, establish, review, and maintain technical documentation.
6. Be intimately familiar with customer requirements and facilitate pre-shipment, review, and inspect records and final documentation.
7. Participate in standardization of quality requirements.
8. Assist in reporting KPIs within quality and HSE.
9. Participate in internal and external audits.
10. Participate in the daily maintenance and operation of the company's quality and HSE management system.
11. Other duties may be added to the position.
12. Assure facility health, safety, and environmental compliance, including implementing and maintaining written programs, policies, and procedures.
13. Perform safety inspections regularly and ensure corrective actions are completed as a result of safety inspections.
14. Customer required safety surveys/training are also a requirement of this job function, which requires that certain safety-related certifications be kept up to date at all times.
15. Assist in creating and maintaining Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Risk Assessments (RA).
16. Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPS).
17. Proper handling and management of waste and raw materials, including labeling requirements, inspections, training documentation, accumulation times, and proper disposal.
18. Reporting and documenting all work-related injuries and claims, ensuring that all workplace injuries are reported within the allowed time frame into our internal tracking system.
19. Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions for all injury/illness, property damage, and environmental incidents.
20. Actively participate in industrial injury & illness and near-miss investigations to identify root causes and make positive recommendations to prevent recurrence, including implementation and follow-up.
21. Assist with the administration of workers' hearing conservation, facility inspections, safety data sheets (SDS) database, and all related safety programs.
22. Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of all safety and environmental records and reports as required by governmental regulatory agencies.
23. Establish and maintain relationships with department managers/supervisors/leads to assist with HSE training and the development of a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
24. Aid in the development/implementation of site-specific practices and procedures for HSE compliance to NOV HSE Management System and local regulatory requirements.
25. Coordinate with Corporate HSE/Risk Management and/or Contractors/Suppliers for HSE Programs (Industrial Hygiene, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Protection, Incident Reporting and Claims, Waste Management and Control, Security, etc.).
26. Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment supporting HSE functions.
27. Coordinate the collection of HSE data (plan status, achievements, incident information, incident closure ratios, work hours, industry trends and rates, corrective actions, etc.).
28. Develop training modules (or specialized HSE training) as required and allocate training modules in HSE achieve portal.
29. Review employee safety training and medical programs, conduct specialized HSE training, and recommend improvements.
30. Maintain and apply knowledge of current industry and company health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
31. Perform other duties when assigned related to facility management, vendor audits, HSE client data.
32. Update HSE Manual and HSE procedures relating to WSS HSE procedures for changes.
33. Conduct HSE performance reviews as per the plan with area management and annual HSE performance reviews for continuous improvement of HSE MS.
34. Coordinate with contracted certification agency for external audits in the region.
35. Conduct Internal Audits as per ISO Standards and NOV HSE procedures.
36. Present audit findings and recommendations to the local or Area Management.

Experience/Education/Skill-set Required

1. Diploma Degree.
2. HSE certified by internationally recognized accreditation (NEBOSH, OSHA, IADC).
3. 3-5 years of experience in QHSE.
4. Computer Skills (Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams).
5. Ability to work alone & with a team.
6. Good Interpersonal Skills.
7. Good Communication skills.
8. Relevant experience in HSE advisory role within the oil & gas industry.
