Location/Office Policy: Molesworth Street, Dublin / Hybrid
- Can you assist AIB to ensure that all its banking licences are compliant with sustainability regulations?
- Do you have demonstrable experience with Sustainability/Regulatory Reporting/ Compliance/Legal?
- Can you engage with internal teams on new regulation or amendments?
- Set up and lead out on frequent meetings with the Sustainability and Strategy teams and other AIB functions, to assist interpretation (regulatory gap analysis), provide support and discuss changes in regulations, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and Pillar 3. Also assist with the publicly disclosed voluntary commitments.
- Track & liaise with AIB Compliance teams to get up to date Horizons (ROI, ROI Legal, UK, US,) and update sustainability monitoring tool for same.
- Track & liaise with the regulatory Change forum for the department.
- Track & participate in industry meetings with the Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) and EBF, relevant regulators and manage AIB’s responses to Consultation Papers (CP), to protect the interests of the industry and drive reputation and policy change where needed.
- When relevant assist manager to engage with the CBI/ECB/SSM/PRA on new regulation or amendments to regulation to ensure correct interpretation and application of same.
- 3+ years' experience in an ESG related environment, as part of a Financial Services/Banking Institution, for a regulatory body or in an advisory, transformation, change, law, or business consulting capacity. i.e. Compliance/Legal/Sustainability/regulatory reporting experience is beneficial.
- Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage numerous tasks with competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven experience of teamwork and managing relationships with stakeholders.
- Be a self-starter, with a strong work ethic, who can either work independently or as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Understanding, experience, or interest in ESG related banking regulations, directives, standards and guidelines, and the ability to provide accurate advice, review and challenge as required. Relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
